PhD Ud’A Research Talent Lab 2026

Research funding and career development opportunities

G. d’Annunzio University Chieti-Pescara (Ud’A) launches the first edition of the PhD Ud’A Research Talent Lab– a training initiative for Ud’A PhD students, focusing on the presentation of

  • most significant international instruments to support career development in research
  • competitive funding for individual research available at the national, European and international level
  • main opportunities for academic entrepreneurship.

The PhD Ud’A Research Talent Lab is an in-person training event, with possibility for remote attendance, taking place over three days from Wednesday 24 to Friday 26 June 2026. The course is divided into five modules covering the following topics:

  1. Key tools for the internationalisation of researchers’ careers, such as the European Research Area (ERA) Talent Platform and related initiatives – European Charter for Researchers, Euraxess Portal, ResearchComp framework
  2. Research funding opportunities offered by national and international foundations 
  3. European Research Council (ERC) calls: participation rules and eligibility criteria, the ERC Principal Investigator profile, proposal structure, funding streams, budget, and evaluation criteria
  4. Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships: participation rules and eligibility criteria, programme characteristics, proposal structure, and evaluation criteria 
  5. Academic entrepreneurship and opportunities for action within the University Third Mission 

Registration for the PhD Ud’A Research Talent Lab 2026 course is open from Wednesday 3 to Friday 19 June 2026.

To register, please complete the mandatory online form. You may select either all available modules or only those you wish to attend. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon completion of every training module or the full training.

You are welcome to register if you are currently attending your second or third year of PhD studies at the G. d’Annunzio University Chieti – Pescara.

Registration for the PhD Ud’A Research Talent Lab 2026 is mandatory and must be completed via this online form (Available soon!). 

In-person attendance is highly recommended! Please note that there will be a limited of available seats; should you not be able to attend in-person due to any inconvenience, you are kindly requested to contact the Organising Team in due time.
