Prof. Franco Cuccurullo
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Bologna, in 1967, began his academic career with Professor Sergio Lenzi, at the Medical Clinic of that University.
In 1980, he moved to Chieti, as Professor of Medical Pathology, at the University "G. d'Annunzio".
Associate Professor from 1982 and Full Professor of Internal Medicine since 1986, chairs the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery for a decade (from 1987 to 1997).
In 1997, he began his first term as Rector of "G. d'Annunzio", re-elected until 2012.

- 1997/2004 - President of the II Section of the Superior Council of Health (Ministry of Health);
- 1998/99 - President of the National Ethics Committee for the Di Bella Multi treatment (Ministry of Health);
