Cohesion, development, and research: the foundational roots of knowledge for constructing the future

Cohesion and development are the pillars upon which the future must be built, and culture and science constitute their indispensable foundations.

With “The City of the Muses”, the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara presents its research to the broader community, transforming the region into an extensive laboratory of ideas and innovation.

Organised within the framework of the Assiste Abruzzo project, funded by the PSC 2000–2020 of the Abruzzo Region, the Festival aims to make knowledge a public, tangible, and shared resource.

Through lectures, exhibitions, and performances, research initiatives of significant social impact—developed thanks to public funding—intersect with traditional knowledge and the new frontiers of contemporary inquiry.

The mornings are dedicated to school and university students, offering them an engaging experience that weaves together science, memory, and the future, and that embraces the new languages of communication.

In the afternoons, the University’s Departments move into the historic buildings of Chieti’s city centre to engage in dialogue with civil society and to illustrate the value of scholarly research.

The days conclude at the Marrucino Theatre with two performances that stage the themes of social cohesion and inclusion, allowing knowledge to be experienced through artistic expression as well.

A Festival that is not merely an event, but a shared horizon for building a more cohesive, innovative, and informed future.
