Pescara Campus, Viale Pindaro 43 Friday, 18 June 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Publishing Successfully – A Practical Guide to Editorial Models, Peer Review and Scientific Roles On Friday, 18 June 2026, the G. d’Annunzio University Chieti – Pescara, at the Pescara Campus, will host the seminar “Academic Publishing: Models, Peer Review and Editorial Roles – Publishing Successfully, A Practical Guide to Editorial Models, Peer Review and Scientific Roles.”The seminar will feature Dr. Sara D’Onofrio, Journal Manager at Frontiers, having an extensive experience in the field of international academic publishing.The seminar aims at providing practical guidance and useful insights for navigating the complex landscape of scientific publishing and is primarily addressed to PhD candidates and early-career researchers at the Ud’A University.The programme will explore both Open Access and Subscription models, analysing the entire lifecycle of a scientific article: from journal selection and manuscript submission through to publication.Special attention will be devoted to peer review and the role of reviewers, with a focus on ethical misconduct issues (including coercive and manipulative citation practices) through the comparison of high-quality and substandard review reports.Finally, the seminar will address challenges related to review timelines and present the different editorial roles involved in academic publishing, including Reviewer, Associate Editor, Guest Editor and Chief Editor.The event is open to all participants who may have an interest in the topic.
