Relations with the Abruzzo Region

The Research Division is the point of contact for the Abruzzo Region, with particular reference to the projects funded by the Cohesion Policy Fundsfinanced through the European Structural Investment Funds (ESIF).

The main objective that the European Union (EU) intends to achieve with such funding, is the reduction of economic, social and territorial disparities between the European regions. In this type of financing, the relationship with the final beneficiary is not direct, but in general is mediated by national, regional or local authorities who have the task of planning interventions, issuing tenders and managing community resources.

The implementation of the financed projects is the responsibility of the University structures identified in the Statute (Departments, Centres and Museum), as they are places for carrying out teaching and research activities.

The Cohesion Policy for the 2021-2027 programming period is financed through several funds

On the Abruzzo in Europe  portal it is possible to consult the strategic guidelines for sustainable development and the integration of the 2021-2027 European programming funds, the communication activities on the opportunities offered by European and national funds, the National Strategy on internal areas, documentation and tenders on the interventions of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP/PNRR) in the Abruzzo Region.

Regarding regional rural development, the Abruzzo Programming Complement for Rural Development 2023-2027 (CSR) was approved in December 2022 as a declination, in programmatic terms, of the National Strategic Plan of the Common Agriculture Politicy 2023/2027.
