The Giardino dei Semplici

Logo

The Botanical Garden is a collection of medicinal plants that promotes their knowledge, study, appreciation, and—last but not least—the conservation of plant species.

The Giardino dei Semplici supports institutional educational and scientific activities while also serving as a tool for raising environmental awareness among a wider audience, by disseminating knowledge of the plant world and its therapeutic, nutritional, and environmental value.

Designed to be easily accessible to students as well as plant enthusiasts, the garden is open for visits throughout the year and is especially enjoyable during the warmer months.

Admission is free during the University’s opening hours.

Groups and school classes may request guided tours.

The Giardino dei Semplici has been officially recognized as a site of regional interest (Regional Law 35/97 – Biodiversity Protection).
