The Animal Welfare Body (hereinafter OpBA), established by Resolution No. 213 of the Academic Senate of the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti–Pescara on 17 June 2014, complies with the provisions of Article 25 of Legislative Decree No. 26 of 4 March 2014, implementing European Directive No. 63 of 22 September 2010 on the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.

The OpBA is composed of four members appointed by the Rector.

The OpBA carries out its functions in accordance with Article 26 of Legislative Decree No. 26/2014 and has adopted its own internal Rules of Procedure.
